For the love of carbon fiber and the awesome look associated with it. I like taking pieces of carbon fiber images and using them in my designs… not just the basic flat look, but using graphical sections of shaped carbon pieces with different textures and shines.

IE Tester – Browser Compatability

Being a web designer myself, I know what a pain in the arse it is to get my code to work and show properly in all of the different browsers. I don’t think there really is anything that pains me more when it comes to designing a website for a client. This free program (Win32-PC) named IE Tester only covers Internet Explorer. So of course you will still need to test the other browsers. This really is a handy little app though.

Note that this is only an Alpha release, but it is in a working state. The author mentions some of the known problems and limitations. Still, a very neat idea. Anything that can give me a glimpse and help speed of the whole process of designing for browser compatibility is a winner in my book!

Ok now… If you have taken the time to even bother reading this post you are most likely in the search of some free design software, or just maybe checking your local program list against this list just to make sure you are not missing out on anything!
