You too can create a look just like Apple Inc., The brushed Aluminum (or Steel) look is very popular, But I have to go as far as saying that it is a bit over used. It really is a great clean look though. Don’t let me stop you!
Follow these simple steps to brushedom.
Create a new Photoshop document, then fill with a middle/medium grey.
Next add filter: go to Filter> Noise> Add Noise, copy similar settings shown (experiment).
Next add filter Blur> Motion Blur, copy similar settings shown (experiment).
Next choose the Polygon Lasso tool and draw in a similar shape shown (you will need to add some feathering to smooth the shape/shine, this leads up to a shine effect on the metal. This is not needed if you do not want, but can add effect in some circumstances.
Next go to Image> Adjustments> Brightness/Contrast, copy similar settings (experiment).
Your Done! You just gots’ to love it.
